Ranieri Featured by the Bipartisan Policy Center

Lewis S. Ranieri delivered the keynote address, entitled Why the Status Quo is Unsustainable, at a conference on housing finance reform sponsored by the Bipartisan Policy Center. Mr. Ranieri’s speech addressed a number of issues related to the current mortgage finance system, as well as the future of the securitization market. The conference, held in Washington, DC on June 17, 2013, also featured responses from housing policy experts Mark Calabria of the Cato Institute and Sarah Wartell of the Urban Institute.

Shellpoint Partners Launches New Securitization Program

Shellpoint Partners LLC has filed a registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission to launch a non-agency residential mortgage-backed securitization initiative.  New Penn Financial, LLC, the firm’s mortgage lender, will continue to originate FHA/VA and agency conforming loans while expanding its products to include prime-quality non-agency loans
